Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actor. Kellie Martin has appeared in a variety of TV and film shows like "Christy", a story of a girl named Christy Huddleston. Her other roles of note include the title role of The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin, the daughter of a department-store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her professional career in acting when she was seven when her aunt who served as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin get a part in the 1981's series "Father Murphy". After graduating of Yale University, she took acting more seriously, and eventually landed significant roles both on the small screen and the large screen. Martin is also a photographer and a dancer. Her sister who passed away from Lupus at age 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus the national spokesperson.
